What is Monograph?
Monograph is practice management software for architecture and engineering firms. It brings project planning, budgets, time tracking, staffing, invoicing, and reporting into one place, so you can see whether your projects — and your firm — are healthy.
How Monograph is organized
Section titled “How Monograph is organized”You’ll spend your time in a few main areas, reachable from the left-hand menu:
- Projects — plan projects, phases, budgets, and fees.
- Staff — your team’s profiles, roles, rates, and permissions.
- Contacts — your clients and consultants.
- Time & expenses — log hours and record expenses.
- Invoices — draft, send, and track billing.
- Reports — profitability, utilization, and other insights.
- Settings (the ⚙️ icon near your initials, bottom-left) — firm-wide defaults.
Admins vs. team members
Section titled “Admins vs. team members”What you can do depends on your role:
- Admins set up the firm: they configure settings, activate billing, and add people, projects, and contacts. If you’re setting up Monograph for your firm, start with Set up your firm.
- Team members mainly log time and expenses and work within their assigned projects. If you were invited by your firm, start with Getting started as a team member.
