Your team & compensation

The Team Directory is where you see everyone at a glance and open each person’s profile to manage their details, compensation, and access. To add people and send invitations, see Invite & manage your team — this page covers the ongoing management.

Find it under Staff → Team → Directory.

The directory lists every team member with their role, permission level, and status. You can:

  • Search and filter by name or by permission level.
  • Add or remove team members.
  • Open a person’s profile by clicking their name.

Each profile holds a team member’s contact information, pronouns, title, permission level, default role and rate, and compensation. Click Edit in the upper-right to update contact details, title, and permission level.

Two areas are worth calling out:

  • Default role & rate — the role and billable rate applied when the person logs time to a project they aren’t assigned to.
  • Utilization target — an individual weekly-hours and billable-percentage target that overrides the firm default in the Utilization report.

Manage each team member’s current, historical, and future compensation from their profile. Because Monograph combines compensation with your firm’s working hours per year to derive an hourly cost, keeping compensation current — and accurate over time — keeps your profit reports right.

The Team Directory shows an alert for anyone missing compensation. Click Add Compensation to jump to that person’s profile, then enter their compensation type (annual salary or hourly rate), the amount, hours per week, and the effective date, and click Save.

Once current compensation is set, the profile keeps a full compensation schedule — past, present, and upcoming rates listed chronologically — so cost and profit are calculated correctly for every period, not just today.

  • Add a past rate: click Add historical entry and enter the previous type, amount, hours per week, and effective date.
  • Schedule a future change (a raise, a promotion, a return from leave): click Adjust Compensation, enter the new figures and the future effective date, and save.

Repeat Adjust Compensation for as many known future changes as you like. Scheduled changes appear above the current entry with a Scheduled tag and take effect automatically on their effective date.

Team members are billed as seats on your subscription.

  • Adding a member bills that seat immediately, prorated for the remainder of your billing cycle (or drawn from any available account credit) — whether or not you’ve sent the invitation yet.
  • Deactivating a member applies a prorated credit to your account for the unused time on that seat. The credit is used at your next renewal or the next time you add a seat or bundle — whichever comes first.
