Creating leads

A lead is a potential project you’re tracking in the Pipeline. Here’s how to create one and flesh it out.

  1. On the Pipeline page, click New Lead.

  2. Enter the lead name (project name) and client. Optionally set a lead owner and add an estimated budget, categories, square footage (gross/net), and a lead source.

  3. Click Create — you’ll land on the lead’s Overview page.

Every lead has a lead owner — the person responsible for moving it forward. You can:

  • Set it when you create the lead.
  • Change it any time from the lead’s Details — the change is recorded in the lead’s activity feed.
  • See it on the lead’s card in the Pipeline, and filter the board by owner.

New leads default to whoever created them. Leads Monograph creates automatically (from intake forms) have no human creator, so they’re assigned to your firm’s Lead admin, set under Settings → App defaults → Leads.

This is home base for a lead. The status dropdown (top-left) moves it through the pipeline; the Details tab holds project and proposal info, and the Notes tab holds notes and the activity history.

Under Project Definition, click Add to record the:

  • Location — the project address.
  • Details — scope, goals, and other context.

From here you’ll also build the budget and create or upload a proposal.

Use the top-right corner and More menu to:

  • Won — generate a project from the lead (edit before confirming).
  • Lost — record a reason, saved to the lead’s details.
  • Follow / Unfollow — get updates (the creator follows automatically).
  • Archive / Unarchive — stop tracking a lead; archived leads can’t be edited and live under the Archived sub-menu.
