Clients & consultants directory
Monograph keeps your clients and consultants in two central directories under Contacts, so you can find anyone quickly and see their projects, invoices or bills, and history in one place. You can add contacts by hand or import them from QuickBooks Online.
Client Hub
Section titled “Client Hub”Find it under Contacts → Clients. The Clients list shows every client added to Monograph or imported from QuickBooks. Search by contact name, company, or email, or filter by client, lead, and project status. Click Export to download a CSV of all clients and their contact details.
Add a client in any of four ways:
- Add Client in the upper-right of the directory
- From the Smart Inbox, via the Create Client action item
- While building an invoice, via + Add New Client in the Bill To dropdown
- Import from QuickBooks Online
Client details page: Click a client’s name to open a full view of the relationship. It includes:
- Client Summary — active projects, overdue invoices, and key contacts (a redacted version hides financials for users without Edit project permission).
- Basic Info and Contacts — edit details and add more people; the star marks the primary contact.
- Sub-tabs for Projects, Leads, and Invoices — each with financial overviews (invoiced, paid, open, past due, and retainer totals).
- An Activity Feed of comments, payments, invoice updates, and — if your calendar is synced — past and upcoming client meetings.
Consultant Hub
Section titled “Consultant Hub”Find it under Contacts → Consultants. This directory stores every consulting company and contact you work with. Toggle between the Companies and Contacts views to see company- or person-level details, and filter by active/inactive status.
Add a consultant: Click Add Company to create a consulting company, or open the Contacts view and click Add Contact to add an individual. Each company can hold multiple contacts, with a starred primary contact.
Consultant details page: Click a consultant’s name to view their info, project involvement, and collaboration status — and to invite them to collaborate.
Import from QuickBooks Online
Section titled “Import from QuickBooks Online”If you sync with QuickBooks, you can pull contacts across instead of retyping them:
- Consultants: In the Consultant Directory, click Import from QuickBooks to bring in active QBO vendors, then select which to import.
- Clients: Client records can likewise be imported from QuickBooks.
You can also send a Monograph contact to QBO from their details page via More → Send to QuickBooks.
